Vio Sustainability strives for a world where sustainability and responsible resource allocation makes sense, because waste is just a resource without a purpose yet.
Core
Our culture can be summarized into three core values that dictate how we work and how we make decisions. Whenever we find ourselves at a crossroad, we can always reflect back onto these three values to decide which path to take.
Entrepreneurial
As a small startup, we are always looking for opportunities, challenging the status quo, and trying things a little bit differently! This includes understanding the needs of clients, the industry, and other stakeholders.
Empirical
We have always taken a data-driven and evidence-based approach and recommend including measurements where we see opportunities. The best way to understand improvement is through measurable difference!
Impact-Driven
We enjoy working with purpose and that reflects the projects we take on. Vio was created to use learned knowledge and experience to make a difference in the waste and recycling space.
Aspirational
These are values that we are working on integrating into our culture. We are the first to admit we’re not quite there yet, but we will be!

The most innovative projects we take on are brought to us by our clients. In line with our Impact-Driven core value, we gladly work with them to see them to fruition. We are working on projects of our own and are excited to share them when they’re ready. We aim to have our work make a difference.

Meet the founder
Enzo Casal
Enzo Casal has been working in the waste management industry for over 5 years and got his start as the operations specialist handling the movement of material from the transfer stations of Metro Vancouver. In that role, he worked in site operations and handled logistics throughout the region. This experience gave him a deep understanding of the waste networks in the Metro Vancouver area, and in BC. Today, Enzo works with producer responsibility organizations, municipalities, and small businesses to run pilot projects, conduct data and process analyses, and benchmark with industry standards.
